Tour de Tuin

As part of the “Het Tuinaannemerseffect” campaign for VLAM, we created a podcast series that showcases the value of professional garden contractors.

Hosted by seasoned adventurer Wouter Deboot, the "Tour de Tuin" set out on a journey across Flanders.

By rolling from garden to garden, we gathered personal stories, expert tips, and fresh inspiration directly from the people who shape our outdoor spaces. This “on-the-move” approach allowed for organic conversations that felt like a walk through the woods rather than a studio recording.

A personal narrative arc

We needed a format that appealed to both professional contractors and homeowners. So, entertaining enough to binge-watch, yet educational enough to provide real value. We moved away from traditional interviews and introduced a personal narrative arc. Our host, Wouter Deboot, became the audience’s surrogate: a relatable homeowner with a garden in chaos, on a quest for answers. This ‘personal quest’ served as the red thread throughout the series, allowing us to weave professional advice and expert storytelling into a compelling, personal journey.

A recording studio on wheels

Everything started with a wheelbarrow, the ultimate symbol of the gardener’s craft. We designed and built a custom mobile recording studio integrated into this iconic tool, allowing us to go into different gardens and locations.

 

We managed the full production of “Tour de Tuin,” from developing the format to on-site filming, post-production and custom music.

Together with our partners at Walkie Talkie, we rolled out an online promotion plan to maxime reach, with a strong PR and influencer approach.
